Following the St Mark's Active Travel Zone (ATZ) perceptions survey in December 2020 and co-design workshops in March 2021, some changes have been made in the area around St Mark's CE School. The recent changes, on Shirley Road and Howard Road, have been implemented following feedback from the local community regarding safety and traffic speed in the area.
We would now like to know whether you feel the measures have been successful in improving safety, in particular for people walking, scooting, wheeling* and cycling.
The locations of the new measures are shown on this plan.

Some people, for example are wheelchair or mobility scooter users, identify with the term wheeling instead of walking. We consider walking and wheeling to also include the use of mobility aids and pushchairs.
Scooting
Scooting is taken to be travelling with a non-motorised scooter.
