Environment and Climate Change
The Southampton City Vision consultation has now closed. We will share results in the coming weeks and there will be further opportunity to give us your views later in the year.
In our first consultation in 2020 you told us that 'Environment and climate change' was most important to you. We are committed to ensuring our City Vision will demonstrate how we plan to contribute towards reducing and mitigating the effects of climate change and air pollution. We will also outline steps to protect and enhance biodiversity and open space.
To help us produce the best possible plan, we'd like to understand your priorities and what you most value in our cities open spaces. You can have your say by answering a few short questions below and by using our interactive map to show us where your favourite places are.
Your favourite open spaces
To help us best protect our open spaces, we'd love to understand which areas you value most. You can drop multiple pins on this map to show us where your favourite places are and tell us what you love about them.
To use the map, please follow these simple instructions:
- Locate the relevant location on the map. This can be done either by zooming in and dragging the screen, or by searching for a postcode or location using the magnifying glass tool in the top right-hand corner of the map.
- Click the + icon on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Drag and drop this pin onto the relevant location within the map. If you are using a mobile device, you will then need to click 'Set this location' in the top right-hand corner.
- A box will pop up which allow you to provide further details and upload any images to support your comments.
All information you provide via this map will be visible to other users and therefore we encourage you not to reveal any personal information about yourself or others.
