Quick Survey - Part 1. What do you think about the key objectives of the plan?
We asked how you felt about 14 key objectives of the Draft Southampton City Vision Local Plan. The chart below (larger version available to the right) shows the results; the greens indicating 'very happy or happy'; grey is neutral and the orange/red indicating unhappy or very unhappy.
At a quick glance it is clear that the majority of the 1,350 who responded felt positive about these objectives. Those with the lowest levels of support are:
Homes: To have a higher concentration of homes in the city and district centres and along main transport routes;
Economy: To support key economic sectors, including the green economy, the Port, Freeport, maritime and logistics, creative and cultural industries
Travel and Movement: To support active travel (walking, cycling) and public transport, introduce a Southampton mass Transit system and then manage remaining car use.
Quick Survey - Part 2. Which of the key objectives do you think are most important?
We also asked you to choose, from the same list of 14 key objectives, which 3 you felt were most important. The chart below (larger version also available to the right) shows the results.
Environmental objectives are top of the list, followed by the need to deliver the right mix of homes, including affordable homes
