The Southampton City Vision consultation has now closed. We will share results in the coming weeks and there will be further opportunity to give us your views later in the year.

Cruise ship at the waterfront

In our previous consultation, you told us that you would like to have better access to the city's waterfront. We'd love to know more about this, so we can understand what improvements you’d like to see. You can tell us your thoughts by answering the two questions below.

You also told us that the city is not always easy to get around, especially for those with limited mobility. We want to make the city accessible to everyone, regardless of age, mobility or ability. To help us form the best possible plan, we'd like to know what you feel benefits access around the city and what currently makes it difficult to get around. You can use the interactive map below to highlight these area or facilities.

We want to understand more about how we can make the city easier to get around, irrespective of age or ability. This will help us ensure that new developments are created with all people in mind so that pubic spaces allow us all to get around the city with ease. We would like to know what you feel benefits access around the city and what currently makes it difficult to get around. Please note that this map is designed to collect feedback around how things are designed, rather than maintenance issues. If you need to report a maintenance issue, you can get in touch with the relevant department here: https://www.southampton.gov.uk/contact-us/

To use the map, please follow these simple instructions:

  1. Locate the relevant location on the map. This can be done either by zooming in and dragging the screen, or by searching for a postcode or location using the magnifying glass tool in the top right-hand corner of the map.
  2.  Click the + icon on the left-hand side of the screen to reveal a list of pins
  3. Choose which pin is most relevant.
  4. Drag and drop this pin onto the relevant location within the map. If you are using a mobile device, you will then need to click 'Set this location' in the top right-hand corner.
  5. A box will pop up which allow you to provide further details and upload any images to support your comments.

All information you provide via this map will be visible to other users and therefore we encourage you not to reveal any personal information about yourself or others.
